Terms and Conditions for Bicycle Rental Services – India
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of our bicycle rental services. By renting a bicycle from us, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms. Please read this document carefully.
1. General Provisions
1.1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all customers using our bicycle rental services.
1.2. By renting a bicycle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1.3. Our bicycles are provided in good working condition and must be used responsibly and in compliance with local traffic laws and regulations.
1.4. We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The latest version will always be available at the rental location or on our website.
2. Eligibility and Documentation
2.1. To rent a bicycle, customers must present a valid photo identification document, such as a government-issued ID, driver’s license, or passport.
2.2. Customers must be at least 18 years old to rent a bicycle. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, who will assume full responsibility for the rental.
2.3. Customers must provide accurate contact information when registering for the rental service.
2.4. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who fails to meet these requirements or exhibits behavior that suggests they may misuse the equipment.
3. Rental Terms
3.1. The rental period begins at the time of pick-up and ends when the bicycle is returned to the designated location.
3.2. Late returns will incur additional charges, calculated based on the hourly or daily rental rate.
3.3. Customers are responsible for inspecting the bicycle before use and reporting any pre-existing damage or defects to our staff. Failure to report such issues may result in liability for the damages.
3.4. Bicycles must be returned in the same condition as they were rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
4. Usage Restrictions
4.1. Bicycles are intended for personal use only and may not be sub-leased, rented to third parties, or used for commercial purposes.
4.2. Customers must not use bicycles in prohibited areas, on unpaved roads, or in any manner that could damage the equipment or compromise safety.
4.3. Helmets and other safety gear are strongly recommended and may be provided upon request, subject to availability.
4.4. Customers are prohibited from modifying or tampering with the bicycle or any of its components.
5. Liability and Responsibility
5.1. Customers are responsible for the safe use of the bicycle and must adhere to all applicable traffic laws and safety guidelines.
5.2. In case of damage to the bicycle due to negligence, misuse, or improper handling, customers will be charged for repair costs or replacement value.
5.3. Customers are liable for the full cost of the bicycle if it is lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged during the rental period.
5.4. We are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during the rental period. Customers assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
6. Payments and Fees
6.1. Rental charges are based on the duration of the rental period and must be paid in full before the bicycle is released.
6.2. Security deposits may be required at the time of rental and will be refunded upon the return of the bicycle, provided there are no damages or violations of these Terms.
6.3. Additional fees may apply for late returns, lost keys (if applicable), or cleaning of excessively soiled bicycles.
6.4. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment platforms.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
7.1. Reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a cancellation fee.
7.2. No refunds will be issued for unused rental time once the bicycle has been picked up.
7.3. If a bicycle becomes unusable due to mechanical failure not caused by the customer, we will provide a replacement or issue a pro-rata refund for the remaining rental period.
8. Security and Storage
8.1. Customers are responsible for securing the bicycle with the provided lock when it is left unattended.
8.2. Lost or stolen bicycles must be reported immediately to both our staff and the local authorities.
8.3. Customers are advised not to leave bicycles in unsafe or high-risk areas.
9. Termination of Rental Agreement
9.1. We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement if the customer violates any of these Terms and Conditions or engages in unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
9.2. In such cases, the bicycle must be returned immediately, and no refund will be provided for the unused rental period.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1. We collect personal information solely for the purpose of facilitating the rental process. This information will not be shared with third parties without the customer’s consent.
10.2. Payment details are handled securely in compliance with industry standards to protect against fraud.
10.3. Customers have the right to request the removal of their personal data from our records.
11. Governing Law
11.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
11.2. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved in the jurisdiction where the rental service operates.
